It also features fully-immersive acoustics and awareness of real-world sounds in a lightweight 182-gramme form factor for long durations of use and USB-C passthrough connectivity.
Vadim Kogan, Logitech’s Head of AR/VR Business Group, said that his firm wanted to allow more customers to “discover all that VR has to offer,” adding,
“Chorus enhances the fit and comfort of Meta Quest 2, while allowing those who love long play sessions to stay immersed in their favorite games and experiences through the audio integration in a comfortable design built for the VR gamer”
Matt Green, Senior Manager of Acoustics Engineering at Logitech, added it offered realistic audio for gamers seeking “comfort and convenience” with an affordable price compared to rivals.
“Chorus is more than the next step in audio for VR, it represents years of feedback from developers, gamers, and the VR community, and we couldn’t be more excited for this addition to the immersive VR experience”
Interested customers can purchase the device for $99.99 at the Logitech online and physical stores, as well as major retailers globally.
The new acoustic system comes amid a $100 price hike for the Meta Quest 2 as the company focuses on promoting its Portal smart home devices and upcoming Cambria headsets.
