This Thursday, Vection Technologies debuted a Metaverse embedded app in Webex’s application suite for enterprise-grade collaboration. Vection is introducing “3D Frame” to the Webex application by Cisco, a service for conducting business meetings in an immersive virtual reality (VR) environment.
Webex built its immersive system as a low-code solution to create bespoke VR collaboration spaces seamlessly. Additionally, a 3D Frame user can transform a 2D Webex session into a VR meeting room without leaving the application. During a 3D Frame Metaverse meeting, the platform allows workers to share and stream file types, including photos, videos, PDFs, and real-time 3D (RT3D) models.
In the rising wake of hybrid and remote workplace models, businesses must commit to modern, immersive technologies to ensure “inclusivity, flexibility and collaboration,” said Gianmarco Biagi, Managing Director of Vection Technologies, who added,
“3DFrame gives Webex Meetings participants the ability to join a shared 3D virtual environment, where they can naturally present and interact with objects and people, regardless of their physical location”

3D Frame also contains support for Webex’s 75-plus embedded collaboration applications. Furthermore, the service supports third-party application usage during an online meeting.
The applications also allow for live meeting features like conducting polls, and 3D Frame tracks core user metrics for review to improve peer-to-peer collaboration.
Vection provides businesses with a rich software development kit (SDK) for developing bespoke integrated applications tailored to individual enterprise use-cases. Cisco also provides a deep resource pool for its SDK to support application development at all levels.
In June, Cisco officially announced the technology partnership ahead of its Cisco LIVE 2022 conference.
3D Frame by Vection supplies immersive technologies for various use cases such as industrial design, engineering, and virtual spaces. According to Jason Copeland, the VP of Product at Webex Platform, the service provides a VR space for businesses to operate “in an integrated and secure way.”

Vection’s software portfolio includes a variety of integrated, cross-platform collaboration solutions to support workplace operations, live events, and more.
The Australian firm also incorporates in-house developer tools, cloud infrastructures, and real-time 3D rendering tools into its product line-up that assist with enterprise-grade digital transformation efforts.
