EngageXR Debuts v2.3 Immersive Platform

0

Virtual meeting and collaboration firm ENGAGE XR debuted its latest extended reality (XR) version 2.3 build that introduces a trove of new features to propel the service toward its enterprise-grade Metaverse vision.

ENGAGE users can download v2.3 from their preferred digital storefront. The build is available on Google Play, Apple App Store, Meta Quest, Pico, SideQuest, SteamVR, and VivePort, and also includes MacOS compatibility, improved user experience, and navigation.

The update comes as ENGAGE aims to distribute its LINK service, a Metaverse platform that connects businesses via bespoke immersive environments.

ENGAGE LINK is currently in its Alpha stage, although the service claims to provide firms with connected persistent environments that continue enterprise operations while members are offline.

What’s New in Version 2.3

The new ENGAGE build includes enhanced media sharing, revamped internet browsers, and updates to the Avatar system.

v2.3 improves the resolution of its internet and media browsing tabs, where users can share content to massive virtual screens or privately browse the internet on a virtual tablet.

The update also includes a fully redesigned user interface for sharing and playing media. ENGAGE 2.3 adds improved support for media, including 3D videos, and it adds support for new graphics hardware such as laptops.

The update optimizes the platform’s avatar creation suite with new customization features, including clothing, facial features, and accessories options.

Enahcing Spaital Recordings

The update improves the platform’s virtual meeting redistribution features, enabling meeting hosts to save spatial recording of sessions where users can rewatch the 3D movements of each attendee, featured graphics, and videos.

The feature allows a meeting host to save their event or a teacher to save a virtual lesson – so an ENGAGE user can re-experience the virtual session in its entirety.

With its latest update, the platform’s content creation and meeting recording hub revamp the user interface to drive assessability for its unique spatial recording hub.

Version 2.3 makes spatial editing easier by debuting a timeline that tracks real-time 3D (RT3D) assets and allows users to edit animation loops with drag-and-drop functionalities.

ENGAGE 2.3 adds trigger points to its editing suite. An editor can add effects or assets after a meeting, which they can adjust so that it appears for one attendee or all.

The trigger points also allow an editor to create interactive assets that activate when a user’s avatar walks close to it. The editing hub also enables users to edit features like forms, interactive RT3D assets, cloud files, and audio.

ENGAGE 2.3 allows editors to make interactive experiences on the ENGAGE platform, reserving the editing service for more than meetings or classroom sessions.
