IGS 2023 Wraps up a Monumental Showcase

0

Last week, The VRAR Association hosted its annual Immerse Global Summit (IGS) event in Downtown Orlando, Florida. To mark this year’s event, local technology conferences Metacenter Global Week and Synapse Summit joined the party, hosting a joint showcase event highlighting how the local area is a serious player in developing emerging technology solutions for various verticals.

The event took over the region’s famed Dr Phillips Conference Centre to host an esteemed lineup of speakers, attendees, and exhibitors who met face-to-face to drive and discuss the emerging enterprise-grade XR marketplace.

The event’s halls saw a rich lineup of XR vendors and end-users collectively pushing together to achieve a shared goal of immersive connectivity. While forecasts of when XR will become a day-to-day commonality vary significantly per person, the community’s shared goals and outreach could push the industry in the right direction.

The VRARA Wraps Up IGS 2023 with Event Partners

IGS 2023 showcased some leading XR vendors like Meta, Google, and others, alongside insightful thought leaders representing enterprise end-users and customers.

During the closing keynote, Nathan Pettyjohn, the CEO of Immerse Growth Network, Founder & President of VRAR Association, and Immerse Global Summit, noted:

What I’ve heard resoundingly here is that people love the networking, and with all the great technology that we’ve put together, it comes down to the people that you trust and you know that you can work with, that doesn’t happen very easily unless you come together, meet people, and also step out of your comfort zone and look for inspiration.

Furthermore, in an exclusive comment, Pettyjohn spoke on the reception of the event:

I’m extremely happy and excited that we had so many amazing people show up for the event and support each other. Sharing their knowledge and connections to help each other grow their businesses. That’s why we do this. I got feedback from everybody that they loved the networking and the people that they were able to meet. This whole venue, the talks, the after-parties, and the networking inspired people to grow their network, and hopefully, that helps all of us to grow and bo better things for the world.

The event brought a lot of positive optics to the XR space, showcasing how XR is present in the workplace today, as well as presenting future forecasts for AR/VR/MR solutions. While the venue was packed with individuals representing entertainment, military, and gaming verticals, the enterprise space shined brightly.

However, it is essential to highlight the crossover between different XR use cases – enterprise and beyond – as the Metacenter Global team emphasises that the intersection between arts and science drives technology innovation forward, expanding the opportunities for enterprise-grade XR use cases.

XR Today will be launching more articles regarding the event’s valuable speaker sessions across the week.
