HTC VIVE, one of the top extended reality (XR) manufacturers in the market, announced on Wednesday it had launched its VIVE Business+ solution. This will include launching a new VIVE XR Elite Business Edition device.
According to the firm, the device will offer enterprise-grade functionality with headset device management capabilities. This allows companies to upgrade, manage, and add content to full fleets of devices, rather than with individual manual upgrades.

The new device will allow enterprise users to deploy, manage, and analyse entire fleets of HTC VIVE headsets. The package offers a two-year warranty along with VIVE Business+ access.
Device Management and Deployment: Enterprise headset owners can scan QR codes with their devices to enrol them on the device management system. Teams can set up key information and WiFi, deploy updates, and efficiently swap settings across fleets of headsets.
Remote Controlled Efficiency: Businesses can monitor fleets for battery life, performance, and key real-time data. This will provide users with crucial updates to optimise headset performance and report issues.
User Management: Companies can also add users with specific permissions (administrator, editor, and viewer) for organisational efficiency. Teams across departments can create and manage user access from one platform.
Batch Configurations: Firms can configure batches with bespoke settings across headsets, using over-the-air (OTA) device management controls. Doing so allows companies to manage them at scale, consistently and effectively.
Additional Features
Using VIVE Business+, enterprise users can leverage the following application enhancements:
Kiosk Mode captures the attention of people and cuts out distractions with content access management. The platform allows administrators to tailor app permissions, network security, tutorials, and other parameters. This creates a streamlined, controlled workflow to reach business goals.
Visual Odometry (VO) Mode scales up user rotations to deploy immersive experiences. Users can enter, train with, and highlight noteworthy immersive experiences on their headsets by eliminating extensive environment setups.

The news comes after the HTC VIVE XR Elite debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas. The HTC VIVE XR Elite Business Edition competes directly with midrange headsets, including the Meta Quest Pro, Varjo Aero, and others.
